“BD’s raised the roof and played an immaculate set of hot and dusty rock and roll that had the crowd stomping and bopping along- their beats were romping! I would have them back again and will internally promote them to other departments for future festivals.”

About The Dawgs
A bit mountain music, bluesy, rootsie, swampy and tad dark country… whatever the case, together, thesy are deadset, fair dinkim, fun story tellers & it’s all about a ripsnorting good time!
This interesting bunch of misfits will have you on your feet with their unique sound, stirring up a foot stomp'n frenzy. Whether it is the Barrel Dawg dynamic trio performing or the full band experience, they will always leave you howling for more! From Swampy Cigar Box with slide to fast paced hillbilly ditties with call-outs and that wild percussionist who wears his tambourine as a collar. Barrel Dawg's pack of strays are sure to entertain from go to whoa!!!!!
B-Dawg has a passion for playing unique instruments like Cigar Box Guitars, Banjo and Slide Guitar. She is inspired by the raw simplicity of the old skool blues and imaginative / inventive art rock. She crosses many genres to create her own style of dark blues & roots music. B-Dawg also combines slide methods with a little distortion to deliver their big, dirty, swampy blues sound on those Cigar Box Guitars!
Mongrel keeps the engine revving with big bold Bass along side Jed Dawg on drums! Mongrel understands the principles of good blues basslines and provides some solid rhythm, as dependable as the lifeguards at Bondi!
Muttley is the groups percussion master who shakes, rattles and whacks stuff, unleashing percussive mayhem to make each performance memorable. Muttley also fattens their sound with smooth vocal harmonies call-outs and the odd Dad Joke to ensure everyone is having a rocking' good time.
Whilst traditionally known for delivering more bluesy tunes they also produce the odd country track infused with their unique signature sounds.
The artist’s music captures the essence of regional nsw country living with a playful, rebellious twist that makes every song individual.
Rooted in the belief that music is a universal language
Barrel Dawg use their music to challenge stereotypes, promote accessibility, and empower others to embrace their differences.
Our ferocious front woman struggles every day managing multiple chronic diseases which cause her mobility and pain issues. Whilst some days are tougher than others, she doesn't let her disabilities prevent her from chasing her dream of producing music and performing live.
Other band members also juggle to manage disabilities, making this a unique and inclusive group. Thank goodness that the young Jed Dawg is ok, although, he does have a mullet! LOL
Ultimately Barrel Dawg consider their disabilities to be a Superpower!
“With all the rumble of an old V8 Holden, Barrel Dawg are known for their unique music. They are storytellers, a bit rootsie, a tad swampy, somewhat mountain style gritty blues with a hint of dark country. Together, they are dead-set musical chaos and their objective is to ensure everyone is having a rip snorting good time! ”
